Christians will often ask questions like, “Where’s that in the Bible?” or “Where does the Bible say [whatever]?”
There is nothing wrong with the question itself but often times there is a problem with the motivation behind it.
You see, a lot of people who ask this question do so assuming that if a belief or teaching is not in the Bible, then it can’t be a true Christian belief.
But here’s the problem…
It is actually the case that nearly all Christians hold beliefs that are not in the Bible.
