A person on Facebook sent me a message the other day thinking that he had the “ultimate refutation” against believing in miracles.
Little did he know that his argument was an old one, it goes back to the philosopher Spinoza.
It’s the claim that reason demands we always hold out for a “natural explanation” for any apparent miracle.
But this argument is entirely unreasonable and here’s why.
